SeaCell²

The patented SeaCell² is a revolutionary new pallet wide, ocean going marine container from the designers of the Seacell. SeaAxis is one of only two lessors able to offer SeaCell² globally.

The SeaCell² patented design provides an internal width of 2426 mm (compared to a standard container’s 2352mm) sufficient for two 1200 mm wide pallets, to be loaded side by side with full clearance, including the door end, where there is no pallet damage due to container ship’s cell guides, something most pallet wide containers cannot do.

Stacking pallets two wide means 20% more pallets can be transported in each 40ft SeaCell² container compared to a standard container.

A shipment of 10,000 Euro pallets (1200 x 800mm) will only require 167 SeaCell²s rather than 200 standard 40ft containers - a saving of 33 containers.

In service the SeaCell² has proved more cost-effective, stronger and less prone to damage than other palletwide containers.

Bamboo floors are fitted to SeaCell² as standard, which saves the destruction of tropical forests. Compared to standard containers, SeaCell² reduces CO2 emissions per pallet by 20%, making the SeaCell² a truly ‘earth friendly container’.

Agents are in place in Benelux, Scandinavia, Iberia, Italy and Germany, as well as in PRC, Singapore and the US.
